Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information ApivestAI ("we," "us," or "ApivestAI") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to apivestai.com and any related applications or services we operate (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: if you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
- Waitlist sign-up: if you join our waitlist, we collect the email address you provide.
- Watchlist and usage data: once account features are live, we collect information you provide within the Service, such as tickers you add to a watchlist, to operate that feature.
- AI feature inputs: if you use AI-powered features, we collect the inputs you submit to generate that content.
- Automatically collected data: standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected via our hosting and security infrastructure (Cloudflare) and, once implemented, analytics tooling.
- We do not currently collect financial account credentials, brokerage account access, government ID numbers, or payment information — the Service does not require any of these to use.
3. How We Use Your Information
To create and operate your account and provide the Service; to send waitlist and launch notifications, and product updates you've opted into; to generate AI-assisted educational content and insights you request; to maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service; to improve and understand use of the Service; and to comply with legal obligations.
4. AI-Generated Content and Third-Party AI Providers
Some features of the Service use artificial intelligence models, including models operated by third-party AI providers, to generate educational content and "insights." Data you submit to use these features may be transmitted to and processed by those third-party providers in order to generate a response. AI-generated content is informational and educational only — see our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service: Cloudflare (security, DNS, and performance), Vercel (frontend hosting), Render or Railway (backend hosting), Resend (email delivery), Upstash (rate-limiting infrastructure), Sentry (error monitoring), and, once implemented, PostHog (product analytics).
- AI providers, as described in Section 4.
- Legal and safety reasons: if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ApivestAI, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: if ApivestAI is involved in a merger, reorganization, or transfer of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Waitlist and Email Sign-Up
If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address for the sole purpose of notifying you about ApivestAI's launch and related product updates. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every marketing email we send, or by contacting us at support@apivest.com. Once you unsubscribe, we stop sending marketing emails to that address; we may retain it in a suppression list only as needed to honor that opt-out and to comply with anti-spam recordkeeping requirements.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights: to know what personal information we hold about you; to request a copy of it; to request correction of inaccurate information; to request deletion; to object to or restrict certain processing; and, where applicable, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which, as noted above, we do not do. Do Not Track: some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
8. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We retain waitlist emails until you unsubscribe, after which we retain the address only on a suppression list as described in Section 6.
9. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls limiting who can view user data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
ApivestAI is based in the United States, and our service providers host data in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
12. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies provided by our infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare) for security and performance. Once analytics tooling is implemented, we will use additional cookies to understand aggregate usage of the Service; this Policy will be updated at that time with details on the specific technologies used and how to manage your preferences.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice before the changes take effect.
